Backing up your site

It is important to regularly back up your site, as this gives you a point you can roll back to. Once of the easiest ways to do this is with the "Updraft Plus" plugin. 

If you have not installed plugins before follow the instructions here.

From the dashboard navigate to [Settings] [Updraft Plus]

Click [Backup Now]

Make sure you include both the database and files and then click {backup Now]

Backing up your site may take a few minutes depending on the size of your site

Once the backup has completed click each of the sections [Database][Plugins][Themes][Uploads] and [Others] in turn to create your downloads.

Click the [Download to your computer] button for each section to download the file(s) to your computer.

If you have a large site there may be more than one download per section, make sure that you download them all.
