Accessing your files and folders using FTP (FileZilla)

FTP or file transfer protocol is a way of moving files and folders between your computer and web server. In order to do this you will need some FTP software installed. We recommend FileZilla which can be downloaded at https://filezilla-project.org/

You will also need the following details:

• FTP Hostname
• FTP Username
• FTP Password

When you are ready open Filezilla and you will see a screen like this, left hand side of the screen is your computer and the right hand side is the web server.

Enter you FTP hostname, username and password at the top of the screen and then click [Quickconnect]

After a few seconds your remote files and folders will appear in the box on the right

You can now browse around the folders just like you would on your computer  and find the items you want to move.

To move files simply drag from one site to the other.
